New Elbar

The kingdom of Elbari is now more legend than factual history to most of Andrim's scholars; but among the nations elves, especially those hiding from Ajax The Invincible and The Black Iron Pact it is more than a place or a time in history, it is an idea. The idea of an Elven society and kingdom that sprawled all across the Kraggon Valley and boasted some of the most lush and beautiful meadows in the nation. But all that changed when whatever caused the Kraggon schism occurred. Scholars have speculated this to have happened during an event that predates written history, called The War of Angels or The Celestial War. No one can say with certainty what caused the collapse of the Kraggon only that it completely decimated the immediate trace of Elbari culture. The Gray Lands contain no natural ruins after the devastation but some ruins of the ancient elves has recently been uncovered in The Provenance of Zyll.   Some descendants of Elbar lived on however, and most of them grew into the Elves of Andrim we know today, now deep within the heart of the Kraggon Canyon a new frontier is being carved in the old elven homeland. In an effort to seclude themselves from the violence of the world, elves gave up settling the Gray Lands or trying to make a home on its barren surface, instead they found that they could build their homes directly into the walls of the Kraggon. The city was built in a tiered system, with a small platform for descent and the issuing of Elbari Skimmers, The first area of the city is The Loftalis, an area of the city that is mostly residential in nature, the houses of the Elbar are made of the same De-petrified wood their skimmers are, they do no stick crudely into the side of the canyon but instead seem to flow with the natural patterns of the rock flows. Vast rope bridges connect both sides of the city, traders and basic goods can be purchased on the streets for those who speak elvish.   The second area of the City is a livery, where Canyon Crawlers are raised as well as the petrified wood processed into building supplies for armor, houses, skimmers and various other goods. The Canyon Crawlers are a mammalian spindly beast that select Elbarins are trained in riding and keeping as livestock. They are the main source of food as well as a constant companion to the Elbarins.   The third area of the city is the Waterfront, where little huts dot the edges of the Kraggon river as fishing parties net and gather fish from the passing stream. The Elbarins are expert fisherman with their bows as well as the thrown spear for larger beast, and the Kraggon is no stranger to its share of larger water dwellers. The Waterfront is the most "blue-collar" area of New Elbar, the elves that live in this part of the city spend most of their days in hard labor and it shows in their builds and athleticism as well as their uncanny ability to spot fish beneath the waters surface.   Elbarins have no true established government though they have elected a Viceroy in Xenic Estades, he has lead the city for the past 200 years, and has always been a firm believer in keeping outsiders out of the city, but now his resolve is tested more than ever as elves are kidnapped by The Invisible Legion for the nefarious schemes of slavers
New Elbar cover
A common look amongst Elbarins is that of a minimalist approach, the leathers of their armors made from the hides of their canyon crawlers
