Rosso Ceiello

Rosso Ciello is a child of Bettigar at heart, his love and patriotism of his homeland was known and renowned through all the baronies of The Kingdom of Andrim. He was born in the town of Elawyn, a small fishing village outside of Lake Bettigar. He was born to poverty, and his mother searched desperately for a better life for Rosso. She would find when the Baron of Bettigar himself was rumored to be paying a visit to the Gravesford. She gathered up all her belongings, taking her and the young Ciello off to the lakeside city. She earnestly pleaded to the baron to test her son to see if he would make a good squire for his knights; The baron of that age was Thomas Bettigar III, who had a few daughters and a son, future Baron Thomas Bettigar IV. He had his advisers test the young boy and found that despite receiving no formal education it would seem that Rosso was smarter than any of the Bettigar children, all of which had several years of study under them. The baron offered Rosso a position of stable hand in his keep, and with that the young Rosso departed for the keep in the coming days, saying goodbye to his mother; he would never see her again. Later, when Rosso was made a knight, he would roam the countryside seeking his mother or trying to learn her fate, it is unknown what he learned on his travels, for he never spoke of them or his mother again upon returning to the Keep. He was made a squire of Sir Elloyck, the ebony knight. A legendary figure in Bettigar; the young Rosso followed him for years witnessing feats of incredible heroism, bravery, chivalry and violence. Sir Elloyck was known as the greatest fighter of his age, and many foes sought to test that reputation and time and time again they would be cut down; the young squire picking through their armor and belongings for something to send back to their lords or masters afterwords. The Baron Thomas Bettigar III, in his final days of life made Rosso Ciello Lord of Bettigar. At the time, the Lords served under the baron in an administrative capacity, having been injured in the field as a younger knight, lord Rosso was now the one in control of Bettigar's funds and construction efforts. He began working very closely with Thomas IV at this time, it is said that in the early years of Thomas IV's reign forged a friendship and bond between the two that would last the rest of their lives. The Lord Rosso was a brilliant planner and strategist, with Thomas having a great mind for ruling as well as earning gold; together they built the coliseum that Bettigar Keep is so known for and began to economic boom of the once small and modest barony. He became Lord Regent in his 53rd year, after the death of his friend Thomas Bettigar IV and his family.
