Tor
The southern lands of The Barony Tor are described as near paradise, golden fields of amber grain and other crops rise up from every hill, as you approach the coastline the salt breeze from The Fractured Coast perfectly offsets the heat of the beaches and beyond. It is plain to see why the ancient giants that once ruled Andrim chose this as the seat of their kingdom; and why the first kings of men did the same. The capital of Tor, The Tal' Naka or Colossal Keep is a hub of activity, a giant sprawling palace that was built for the ancient kings long ago. What was a palace for the royal giant family has now been converted into a city for the people of Tor to call home, it was once called The Colossal Keep; but these days people refer to it as Atlan. Several small farming villages and mining settlements pepper the hillsides around the keep; and the river lands that run through this area are famous for their bountiful fishing. The center of tor holds a great lake, which then bleeds into a 5 headed river which moves out into the fractured sea, and the fractured island across the gulf. Torisieans are known for being a people of tradition, honoring the ways of Chivalry, and the old kingdom of Ballaste, many who live in this region descend from the first Andrimian families, and most are not prone to let you forget that. They are studious as well, Tor offers some of the finest academies for Music, Political Study, Sciences, Magic and even Cooking; Torisian Cuisine is particularly famous across Andrim, with many people traveling to Tor each year to sample the delectable treats the Barony is so well known for
Tor is comprised mainly of six distinct geographical locations; The Valley of Aurin, The Amber Plains, The Central Highlands, The Fractured Coast, and The Torisian Gulf, and The Forest of Rend
The Valley of Aurin is the largest Valley in Andrim, spanning more than 100 miles and bordered by the large hills of the Highlands and the The jagged rocks of the Fractured Coast; The Giants made their home here; ruins of their once great kingdom still pepper the hillsides and occasionally are made into structures for human development or housing, similar to the repurposing of the Colossal Keep in Atlan; one section of the valley is called the Iron Orchird, this is a site where hundreds of giants gathered to surrender their weapons to King Ballaste I at the end of the Human Crusades; Swords, Spears, Arrows and more items made for giants are stabbed into the ground here, reaching up to the skies like trees of Iron. The Holstag river ends in a vast lake here, called the Lake of Mirrors; said to be home to a mystical woman who lives in the water
The Amber Plains contain many farming and fishing villages along the Cully River; The namesake of the Amber Plains comes from the illustrious Amber Grain that grows natively here. The Amber Grain makes Golden Bread, a famed Torsion Food and a cornerstone of Torsian cuisine; The Holstag River carves through this land providing easy passage to the coast via small ferry.
The Central Highlands are where a majority of the larger cities of Tor are located, The Tal'Naka or Atlan is located in this region, as is Telestra, Stillsong, and Morkhar. The Highlands are about a mile and a half above sea level, giving visitors to the region headaches upon first arrival.
The Northern coastline is the Fractured Coast, named as such because of the various jagged cliffs and rocks that decorate its edges, like the highlands, most of the land of the fractured coast lies high above the sea, making ports and fishing nearly impossible
The Torisian Gulf is a pristine and beautiful coastal region that borders the Sapphire Sea; The edges of the Torisian coast are of course the bulk of this region, but dozens of small islands also exist off its grand coastline, some of these islands are even large enough to house entire cities, such as Port Karah; or the infamous pirate hangout, Salazo Cove
The forest of Rend is a vast wooded region that contains many natural wonders and some say mystical wonders as well, under settled due to its wild nature, the region is mostly occupied by the The Wardens that seek to keep the villages on the outskirts of the woods safe from any creatures within that may begin troubling them; Gnolls and other hostile, wild beings make their home here; and until recently posed a threat to all surrounding areas.
Outside of The capital there are a few small villages of note in the Barony

Giant's Bridge; Originally constructed by Stone Giants over a thousand years ago for the purpose of crossing the Holstag River; Giant's Bridge has been turned into one of the larger settlements in all of Tor; The city has built onto the structure of the giant's archecture much akin the repurposing of their fortress in Atlan. Giant's Bridge is home to a variety of shops, inns and breweries but its most famed for its Order of Knights known as The Talon Chain; The Talon are tamers and riders of Griffons and use them to protect both Giant's Bridge and the surrounding areas. Before the Purge, a great Temple to Grond sat on one side of the bridge, and a temple to Gaia sat on the other side, reflective of the giant's culture of equally worshiping both the mother and the father
