40. "Old grudges"
General Summary
- Bo and Ash were led to the hideout of the provisional government of the Breughor Clan dwarves . There they met Vlad Bolya and relayed their plan to unite the peoples of the Fringelands to reclaim first the Reaching Wood and then Mount Burning Eye .
- Vlad was skeptical about lending his troops to the reaching wood attack and suggested that Ulevethor , rather than Klip Top would be a good place to find able bodied soldiers with a bone to pick with the denizens of the wood.
- Vlad went on to recommend the party talk to the rulers of Irrearbor , famed for their armed forces and could perhaps negotiate some kind of annexing of the wood or part of the wood to Irreabor in return for their aid in taking back the wood.
- Vlad gave the party to signed letters from him for each of these locations, demonstrating his support for their plans. He went on to say he would be privy to the plan if they could secure more military support.
- After this the party returned to Klip Top and slept, they awoke to a market in full swing. At the market they bought some local food and a couple of users manuals for various skills before attending the small exhibition at the Klip Top Founders Society town hall. Here they learned the history of the elven struggle in the woods and the Purge of Loviathor. They learnt about "Sulima' the soul eater, who is the current lord of the wood.
- After this the party discovered that the Klip Top Founders society would meet the next evening and agreed to attend the meeting to explain their plan for the wood to the society.
