Dharrakir

Nicknamed "Derek" by Tilly.   Dharrakir is a male tiefling with red skin and gold eyes, along with the traditional horns and tail of his kind. Blessed by the Corrupter God Bastimaar, his devilish heritage has reemerged in a pair of leathery batlike wings.   DM Note: The following information is subjective based on the party's interaction with him. As such, incoming swarm of weasel words.   The leader of a group of followers of Bastimaar, the party notices that he seems to tell the truth, but also chooses his words carefully. While they haven't caught him in an outright lie, they can tell that something's amiss. The fact that he coordinates to some degree with the hag Mary didn't help.   That said, he seems friendly enough, and his actions and expressions suggest he cares about his fellow practitioners. Whether it's due to a genuine concern, or a more practical reason, is hard to discern however. His previous second in command, Haris seems to have been a violent loose cannon. One of which he's apologized for, but that doesn't change the fact that he willingly associated with someone like that. He's expressed concern for Riris undertaking the trial, but it may be simply that wants her to be ready to improve her odds of survival. His top priority appears to be recruitment, finding worthy representatives to demonstrate to the world the power of his god. What qualifies as worthy? The party isn't certain. He's expressed that having a personal strength or sorts was important, but that says nothing of character. He seemed indifferent towards Bulgey's threat to kill Noggie. He values the experiments Mary was running, and would only offer to break off that cooperation and help the party if one of them was willing to undergo Bastimaar's trial. When pushed about the caged children, Marwa and Lindra, he deflected by suggesting that one of them was supposedly there willingly, which hardly excuses the other, or any that may have come before.   He defends his less than savory dealings as necessities due to the unfair depiction of his god and people, and his personal, direct actions towards the party have not been hostile. He's offered temporary shelter from the winter storms swirling across the landscape, and enjoyed Bulgey's beer and music. He seems eager to speak of his god, and is always looking to promote and suggest the trial to anyone willing to listen.   When Bulgey offers to undergo the trial, and Vita got angry, he took Riris and fled to the temple, where after a successful trial by Riris, died in combat against the party.
