Session IV: War of Undercity
General Summary
The Ember Brotherhood
Adventurers decided to go follow on their quests with The Ember Brotherhood.They hope the Brotherhood will be able to provide them with informations about the Trial of Fire.
When they started planning their next steps, they've met Egrim Flamehearth, son of Durin Flamehearth, Pyremaster of the Ember, current leader of the Brotherhood. He offered to join them and help in their findings of spy among the brotherhood, who works for Burning Spiders, Drow elf organization in the city.
After short investigation of first clues, they found out that the entry point into Undercity for Drow elves is inn in the city center - The Loom's End Tavern. They decided for straight forward access - attack the drow elves and make their own way into the Undercity. They have succeed and entered The Silent Market, black market of Drow Elves where they trade their smuggled goods from Underdark and other places.

Undercity
Unexpected Reunion
On Silent Market, they've noticed Dorn with one duergar. They were trying to sneak out of this place as they both been kidnapped earlier. Dorn was kidnapped from Zira few days earlier, kept on drugs to don't remember much and carried all the way to Fatharik. Dorn got offered to join Burning Spiders and forever abaddon Lolth, but he refused - as they no longer shared goals, they throw Dorn into prison, where he met Gralgron - duergar dwarf from Underdark who was also kidnapped two weeks earlier.Exposed Cover
Egrim was during their time in Undercity exposed and taken alongside with Darian, at this time disguised as Drow elf, to the leader of the Burning Spiders. However, the rest of the party managed to get to them fast enough to ambush the drow elves who accompanied them and kill them all. They've also managed to interrogate Drow elf about way how to get as soon as possible to the territory of Ember Brotherhood. Attack on Checkpoint Their desparate situation forced them to visit Drow elf checkpoint which stands between Undercity and Undermountains. They managed to survive without any loss of life but things were getting tougher every minute in the Undercity without rest.Undermountains
After the checkpoint, they've managed to find safer space where they could rest for a while. They took a path not so frequent for Drow Elves but still not safe as it will show in a while.Breathtaker's Alley
They've walked through Breathtaker's Alley, short passage way through caverns with potent toxins, which they managed to activate and needed to run for their lives. All survived but Gimmun, Darian and Gralgron managed to get some of the toxins into their body.Wandering in the darkness
Without map, without guide and without any clue how to navigate through such caverns, with limited knowledge from Underdark, they've managed to get to area controlled by Ember Brotherhood, but before they visit it, they decided to make one more stop - The Cursed Foundry.The Cursed Foundry
An old, abandoned forge that is said to be haunted. The Ember Brotherhood tried to establish it as a primary forge site, but mysterious accidents and unexplained phenomena drove them away.They found out, that before they build a forge site here, there was Drow safehouse, which Egrim and Flameguards attacked and burned to the ground. However, in the basemenet there was elvish mother with her child. This incident created curse on Egrim, causing him great unluck and manifesting as powerful entity in this place, also known as Morwenna.
They've managed to investigate that this entire place was cursed because of Egrim's unintended act and decided to help. They've fight off Morwenna, which also showed was manifestation of the little girl that supposedly died during the incident.
However, Egrim made a deal with her, which is supposed to help him to ,,rise".

The Flamehold
For their help to Egrim and the Brotherhood, they were given exceptionally rare entrance to Flamehold. They were allowed to buy everything from their merchants and use their inns as members of the order.They've used the priests to get rid of their sickness from the Breathtaker's Alley, buy from merchant improvements for their following journeys.
However, Dorn had other problems - when he was captured, Burning Spiders took all of his items, including Spellbook and potion that prevents him from turning into Drider.
They were unable to retrieve these items back and he had to get hands on the potion as soon as possible as he had around 7 hours to take it, otherwise the curse would spread.
With help of the party, he was able to get the potion just in time - close call. Also, Egrim helped him to get new spellbook and repay him after he gets enough gold.
Time to Rest
After almost a month of never ending actions, they've decided to take a week off. Darian almost died and needed to take care of his health, they had access to great archives where they can find many information about local lore and even such not from Su'Atal, local materials were very unique and was tempting to experiment with it.Gimmun
- Managed to upgrade his shield using Pyreforge Steel, making himself more durable against fire. As part of this process, he also tried to understand how the Pyreforge Steel works.
- Tried to find some information about ,,Šotek" - special imp they've met previously on their way to Fatharik.
- He also made short research about struggles between Efreeti and locals, where he found out locals don't really like otherwordly beings to claim part of their mountains as theirs and set their own rules.
- Gimmun modified his hammer to be created from Pyreforge Steel, making it warm to the touch and also be able to, maybe later, be infused with stronger Fire Magic.
- And at the end, he tried to use his smithing skills to earn some coin.
Darian
- Darian attempted to get plans and information about routes in Undercity, which he obtains but they are never exact
- Then he tried to find some information about Selune as he learned from Dorn, there is something like Moonshard connected to the Goddess of the Moon.
- Then he spent his time with finding resources for Dorn - special flower that is mandatory for his elixir that prevents him from becoming Drider.
Dorn
- Dorn tried to find out something about Moonshard and something related. He found out that Moonshards are believed to be parts of the Goddess herself or at least parts of her power. Then he also found out that some place related to this mystical energy could be around here somewhere.
- He also spent some time researching information about noble family of Anue - mysterious ancient bloodline of elves that appeared multiple times in their story. They found out that Anue is family from Su'Tyl and their bloodline goes to the ancient times of Dalyor the Pillar of Sun of the times of Great Purge of Dragonkind. Also found out that this noble family has some relation to a powerful Archfey.
- Dorn also tried to work for a day as an helping hand to alchemist
Kai
- Kai tried to find out about researching nicknames she heard earlier - ,,Maw of Doom" and ,,Titan's Bane". All information she found just confirmed her what she already knew - everything points to famous temple Sslythavians and city Venoth'Ziscah.
- She also tried to find some information about purple entities and magical orb they have. However limited knowledge of this place wasn't enough to provide for such information.
- Then she tried to find some information about Efreeti Mountains and she found out that they are related to already known person - Amir Azraq and his father Khalid ibn Nar. The archives also mentioned new name - Bofur Khuzdul, who helped Amir with protection of his castle, however he served to someone whose name started with letter A, the rest was unreadable.
