Katib Alonzo Laureat was the father of Ex-Vizier Absalom Laureat. When he was alive, Alonzo spent most of his time at court as an accessory to his wife, Dulcinea Laureat, and judging other nobles' outfits. By the end of his life, Alonzo was almost completely deaf and had no reaction to the continuous yapping of Dulcinea's pet pygmy-gnoll, Vercingetorix.
