As a Doppelgänger, Corvus could change his appearance to perfectly assume the appearance of specific individuals. He could mimic the shape of any small- or medium-sized creature and gains some of their senses including scent and darkvision. Additionally, he could cast Detect Thoughts at will.

It is unclear whether Corvus was willingly a Thievian, or for that matter, whether any of his family are. It is possibly significant that Corvus and his cousin, Nycteme, were visibly shaken when they believed that the Thing had extended Its influence enough to track them down, implying that they would not like to return the Its influence, even if they are dissatisfied under the patronage of the Thief.
