Cradle Party

When a new baby is born at the Noble Court the parents often throw a Cradle Party. These range from understated parties for minor nobles to lavish celebrations for higher ranking babies.

History

Givesday, Thiefmoon, 1312

A few days after their older son, James Baharat, was banished in a Whisper Vote, Vizier Cardamom and Viziera Jessop Baharat throw cradle party to officially announce their new Subvizier (Sumac Baharat). Memorabilia handkerchiefs of elven silkwork were distributed to the guests to mark the occassion, and Martini was brought out to perform magic tricks. The only members of House Underhand to attend the party were Viziera Crepuscule and Katiba Nycteme Underhand, and both left early, suggesting some kind of interfamily dispute between the Baharats and the Underhands.
