Cardamom Baharat (1285-???)
Vizier Cardamom Baharat
Cardamom Baharat is the Vizier of House Baharat, one of the two elven noble families in the Second Court. As an aestheticist, Cardamom seems in many ways more harmless than many of the other Viziers, but he is also shallow and influenced by flattery.
He has also, on occasion, made difficult, ruthless decisions to ensure the survival of House Baharat, in a court that is increasingly unfriendly to non-human familes. Most significantly was his decision to call a Whisper Vote on his son, then-Subvizier James Baharat, rather than let the scandal of James's relationship with a "male commoner" be used by the court as a political weapon against the family.
