Looking for My Friend, Part 1
General Summary
Terri put out a call for help in finding her old friend Rhal . She travelled from Fjordhaven with Thyrn and Hadrian along the Mountboon Path to Cauldron. Meanwhile, Ashertiel travelled from West Haven to Cauldron, having read the board post and wanting to help. They met up there and discussed how to find Terri's missing friend. They decided to travel south to Warhaven, which is the last place Terri saw him.
When they got there, they split up their efforts. Terri and Thyrn went to the arena to ask random people if anyone had seen him. Ashertiel and Hadrian went to the cathedral to seek spellcasting services. Terri and Thyrn had no luck at the arena. But after several spellcasting attempts, the others had figured out that they were unlikely to find Rhal in The Havens but had a chance in The North. They travelled to Lakeside via teleportation, where they were nearly arrested by hobgoblin guards. However, they managed to talk their way out of it and even get some information from him. They learned that a group of bandits who call themselves Rhal's Raiders have been attacking travellers on the road between Half Circle and the Trollbane River . They decided to go stay at the Inn for the night and even paid to use a cart filled with empty barrels to make themselves appear to be a tempting target for bandits.
Setting out the next morning, they headed along the road to Half Circle. They forded the river without issue, but about an hour after crossing the river they came upon an overturned cart in the road. As they drew nearer to inspect it, a fireball exploded in their midst, followed by a volley of arrows. The fighting was intense, during which Hadrian was nearly killed. In the end, they kept two of the archers alive to lead them to their leader.
