Looking for My Friend, Part 3
General Summary
As Ashertiel, Thyrn and Hadrian prepared themselves in Cauldron for the showdown with Terri and her bandit minders, Terri travelled from Warhaven to Cauldron. When they arrived there, Lucky Robey told Terri to head into the arena first. After the party reunited and made their plans to kill the bandits, the burst out the doors. Terri was immediately hit by a fireball, and the fight was on. Without too much trouble, the bandits were dispatched.
After killing the three bandits, the party decided that their best course of action would be to teleport back to the bandit camp. Right into the middle of the camp. Doing so, they were confronted by Rhal himself. Since Terri and Ashertiel were turned into gargoyles, in preparation for the fight, Rhal congratulated the other two in managing to kill Terri and Ashertiel. As he was doing so, Thyrn launched a fireball into a pair of archers.
In the ensuing fight, both Thyrn and Hadrian were killed. Rhal was knocked inconscious and all the bandits were killed. After the fight, Ashertiel turned Rhal into a raccoon and they looted the camp, finding their equipment in a hole with a pair of scorched humanoid skeletons. Returning to Cauldron, they dropped off their loot in Terri's castle and used a magical chariot to travel to Lakeside . There, they reported to the hobgoblins that Rhal 's Raiders had been destroyed and had a priest of Maglubiyet speak to the bodies of their fallen comrades. Thyrn's body refused to be brought back to life, but Hadrian wanted to be brought back. The priest brought Hadrian back to life, while Ashertiel dropped Thyrn's body off in the Plane of Air.
The following day, Terri woke up to discover the raccon was gone, with her guards reporting that she had left her rooms earlier in the day. After checking their loot pile, they discovered that all of Rhal 's equipment was gone. Travelling to Warhaven, they started purchasing scrolls of sending to contact Rhal . When they got nothing but vitriolic insults in return, they eventually gave up and, after finally realizing they probably already had the bones of the real Rhal , they brought them to a temple. The cleric there used speak with dead to confirm that the bones were, in fact, Rhal 's. Needing to come back a week later, they managed to find out that Rhal was most likely in the wall of the dead. Being advised by the cleric that this meant they would either need a wish spell or to travel to the realm of the dead and barter with Kelemvor for Rhal 's soul. The party did not want to travel to the realm of the dead, but the cleric reminded them that there is a place on the Isle of Corella which is offering wish spells as a reward for a competition.
