Eginego

the definitive folklore/culture hero of the Nidari, Eginego (lit. "first-last", though in an archaic form - "primfin" might be a better approximation) is "the first and last soul", having lived many lives due to knowing the secret of escaping from the belly of Mother Deep. an impish trickster character, their credited achievements are manifold, the stories of their exploits even more so.
crackpots and heroes either claim - or are posthumously credited as - an incarnation of Eginego.

partly identified with the trickster god of the Bindkelp Sea Pantheon, hence why Mother Deep is demonised there - though she is seen as more of a buffoon in Nidari folklore. has a more complex relationship with Gyrism.
