History

1st of the 501st is oldest of all the infantry brigades, The legendary exploits set the standard for intergalactic infantry during the war on Katurn. although the Division suffered massive casualties there demonstration of sound tactics and good judgement against a superior force showed that the covenant Infantry could stand up to the invading Kreegan War Machine. After the the conflict in Katurn the unit was recommissioned to take over the training of all new recruits and to set the standard high for them to meet upon graduation.
