Demographics

Laplwyds

Laplwyds are a species of horse-like sentients who crossed over into Manidweepa from a so-called 'line dimension'. As such, a lot of traditional horse terminology have been escribed to them by human kind.   Laplwyds are a universally well-liked species within the Manidweepa. Credit for this is afforded to the queens who encourage interspecies communication and their willingness to liberally give aid to others.

Government

Diarchy

There are 6 laplwyd queens who currently exist. They organize themselves into three companion pairs to look over their subjects who are inturn loosely affiliated with each other as states. Loquent and Lezzy rule from their mountain castle in Lapland as a double monarchy.

Peerage

The laplwyd peerage is the rest of the nobility. Nobles are divided in two categories: feudal lord nobles with a territory and royal court nobles with a court rank. However, feudal lords can be promoted to court rank and court nobles demoted. Each ranking is subdivided into two ranks:
  1. Upper First Rank: Queen
  2. Lower First Rank: Consort
  3. Upper Second Rank: Prince(ss)
  4. Lower Second Rank: Duke/Duchess
  5. Upper Third Rank: Royal Blood Nobles
  6. Lower Third Rank: Marquis/Marquess/Marchioness
  7. Lower & Upper Fourth Rank: Count/Countess/Earl
  8. Lower & Upper Fifth Rank: Viscount/Viscountess
  9. Lower & Upper Sixth Rank: Baron/Baroness
  10. Seventh Rank: Baronet/Baronetess
  11. Eighth Rank: Knight (Inheritance)
  12. Ninth Rank: Knight (Service)

Defences

Laplot Castle

The palace where the diarcs live and rule. It consists of the double throne room, a large ballroom, the castle kitchens, a telescope observatory, the ceremonial hall, a sculpture garden and hedge maze.

Spire Towers

Laplot is a city of towers. Thousands of towers capped with defense turrets are arrayed around the inner spiral rim of Lapland. This traps any invader crossing the Nonantum to be in the sights of every constructed tower.

Industry & Trade

Nonantum

Looking through the tube end, farmland has a one million km wide diameter and a width of 250 million km. Nonantum is the hollow sky that the land wraps around. A variety of classically flying animals can be found here and is a common route where cargo cuts short rather than travel along the spiraling land.

Infrastructure
