Tra Achwat (tɑːɑxwɑt)

Tracing his lineage to the Tlatotlys from Xitzol, Tra Achwat (in Raachern: /trɑːɑxwɑt/) was the last free pharaoh of the Citadel of Ysfet before he yielded to Drennón Tzolagar and Ysfet became a satrapy of Tzolgarys. He is the great-great grandfather of the current pharaoh-satrap, Zitziya.   The Citadel of Ysfet, was largely isolated and protected by desert, and thus Tra Achwat ruled past the time most of Ys had been unified under Drennón Tzolagar. Although Pharaoh Achwat was not cowardly, he knew that the fall of the Citadel was inevitable and rather than risk the deaths of countless thousands of his subjects—and the extinction of his house—Pharaoh Achwat surrendered to the unified Yssian armies. Although ultimately, self-serving, the pharaoh knew it was surrender or extinction: as those who had resisted unification had been extirpated. Dozens of ancient lineages had been purged completely when the prideful chose arrogance over pragmatism.   Through him the Achwat Dynasty was allowed to rule as tributary vassals and the Citadel of Ysfet, his line, and issue, and all its subjects were preserved in the new satrapy under Tzolagar. A century later, the current head of the Achwat Dynasty is his great-great granddaughter who rules as pharaoh of the Citadel and as the Satrap of Ysfet.
