Prisoners, Guards and Ancestral Bones Report

General Summary

Previously: Biter of Demons
There is a big pile of clothes - at least 12 people, some armour, but mostly civilian clothing. Clothes are from Neverwinter, some may fit dwarves. Could be used for disguise or uniform, mostly women and children, not big men.
We take a caravan guard uniform as disguise, with a glass eye (blue with purple flecks). It is not magical but could be enchanted.
Prisoners are a boy of 15, a girl of 18, and their mother. All beaten up, the boy particularly.
We take them to safety. There is a man who sees Tharg and is a fan of his and keeps quiet on seeing him. We find a path in the woods and will check it out later.
Tharg has a story about elderly moaning myrtle ghost who collects magical items.
There are initials CA and PS carved in the tree and there is a loose panel in the town fence nearby. Spotted by farmer Alderleaf, who greets the captives. There are magical plants in the garden.
The captives were taken after asking about 'Thel', who has gone missing and standing up to Redbrand. The guards were very nasty.
When we return, we pass the dead guard who is still pinned to the floor by a skeleton's longsword.
There is a large space behind a secret door. The eye monster is living in the chasm on the other side of the corridor. Nearby we find an armory and take a third cloak. In the next room we keep an eye out for the monster. The barrels and crates here have been stamped with caravan logos and contain stolen goods.
Approaching the chasm in the floor of this cave area, Tharg finds himself seeing a scene that is not real. He sees what the eye monster sees from the bottom of the chasm and hears whispers. Sees figures approaching. There is something trying to communicate with him telepathically, trying to get under his skin, analyse him.
Tharg tells us what he sees and hears. Proves not this chasm now as not illumated by fire blast, but knows that it is this chasm. Tharg asks who the voice is and figure becomes more distinct. He has an archaic high-class way of speaking - a historical posh accent. Asks for Tharg's secrets. It is god of knowledge - know too much and no longer human - Nothic.
He is interested in magic items - sword, stone with hole in it, and deer tail. It gives a history of the sword.
