Free Esmae from Moridors box

Esmae of the Flowers was given a cursed box by Mar.   He instructed her to take it Kua'traa to get rid of it. The Ka'Tet eventually found and approached Kua'traa's Warehouse in an attempt to find him, but when he saw the box he fled, screaming them to take it to Brasken.   Cursed box destination #2 leads us to Brasken's Kip, a fortified house with a leather garbed guard at the door. Esmae and Dak’kon try to intimidate him (but fail with aplomb).   We ask that Brasken see us regarding the box and he allows one person to go in.   Mae enters and she offers it to him. However, he simply laughs in response, and says he won the box in a tournament and that he does not want it back.   He states that he was tricked into taking by the witch Shilandra, who can be found at Shilandra's Kip, near The Mortuary.   We head to Shilandra’s Kip as cursed box destination #3. Again we have a lippy greeting, but this time it was the actual door and not a doorman providing the ‘lip.  Musadoor’ refuses us entry, so we show it the box resulting in it shrieking, and immediately afterwards we are teleported into a 10’ square cage within a 30’ square room. Apparently in a building’s basement.   After a while a lady in a shimmering dress with copper golden hair arrives. Her eyes contain weather, with hot steamy storms predominating. Shilandra had a cat on her shoulder.   She focused her attention upon Arvid. She tells Arvid that the box is the reason we are in a cell.   She says that she was also tricked into taking the box, and that it contained a dangerous evil. It is rumoured that the current owner of the box will die if they or another opens it. Shilandra mentioned that the box may contain an imprisoned fiend.   She suggested that maybe we could gain help from a priest from a local cathedral, and directed us towards The Alley of Dangerous Angles.   Shilandra then opened a portal for us and Eilana first exits. When Esmae attempted to pass through there was a magical explosion, and the rest of the party found themselves asleep again outside of Shilandra’s front door.   Esmae, however, awoke in what felt like a coffin, and when she opened it discovered it was within a the Tomb of the Shadowborn. It was clearly old, and was very elaborate. She recalled that she awoken previously within the same coffin just weeks before.   She exited the tomb and returned to us at Shilandra’s Kip.   After making their way though The Alley of Dangerous Angles, the Ka-Tet approached and entered the Alley Temple. There we were greeted by Aola a priest of the dead God of Portals, Aoskar.   As we entered the church, the party was struck by a painful mental surge, followed by a headache.   Esmae showed Aola the cursed box, and he willingly took it from her. As he did Esmae felt herself fall. She dreamed of, and was transported to, the World of Prophets in her head.   She then felt herself fall again and was transported to a verdant world, inhabited by halflings like her, at a time that appeared to be the dawn of their world. This was her home world, Athas.   She again saw time speed ahead, and saw the sky of her world rain down with colourless fire, turning it brown, boiling the seas, and leaving behind a baked dusty remnant of a world. In her heart she somehow felt it was ll her fault.   She then moved to a temple, the temple of the last God of the land, and found an altar with a secret door behind. When she touched the alter she felt a distant voice in her mind and a hand over her hand, then feeling the hand of Aoska open the door to the stars (She gained a class skill as a result).   The rest of us only saw the priest chanting over the box, and it started to emit an acrid smoke. He opened the box and a huge demon emerged. Suddenly there was a tear in the fabric of the sky, revealing the stars, and the demon was sucked out of our existance.   Remaining was a large heart shaped ruby, duly kept by the priest.
