Oscan

The Oscani are the most common ethnicity in Pohet. As such they are the most diverse in looks however olive skin & darker hair is typically associated with Oscani heritages. They are typically found in nations that were influenced directly by the Oscan Empire such as Republic of Aeroden , The Borderlands , The Free Cities , and the Oscan Empire itself.

The Oscani claim that their pantheon of deities are the main forces that have shaped the world and have blessed them with being their chosen people. However, the Oscani are great negotiators & even better adapters and are prone to adopting local beliefs & faiths with their pantheon. The Oscan empire grew to be the largest political entity in Pohet due to a mix of a standardized military force, alliances, & trade. The strengths of the empire are those that perfectly reflect the Oscani people even if they are no longer under any imperial ties.

Family names

Oscani Naming structure is traditionally the following: Birth name, Father/Mother name depending on gender, Nickname/Feat (often in Oscan). For example, let us use a Male named Albus Gaius Jastiti. His given name is Albus and his father's name was Gaius. Concerning his last name, it relates to the Jastites in someway. If he was a general/soldier perhaps he fought in those lands, maybe he looks Jasite, or maybe it's an ironic name as he despises Jastites.
