Part 7: Ad Astra Report
General Summary
The party, recovering from previous events, shares in the misadventures and mayhem that occurred over the past weeks. From the convergence of time and space to the Backrooms, the party is beaten and bruised, but their resolve has only grown stronger. Training finally begins, albeit only for a short amount of time before Ava returns, having been attacked herself. Her Pokémon and belongings are missing, strange even for the events of the mountain. Her belongings are soon returned, but Ava's Pokémon have been all but defeated, requiring immediate medical attention. For her, the spacetime distortion only led to disaster. During her recovery, Project Luna is unearthed, as is the presence of those who would wish to capture it. Within Ava's belongings are an ominous note, warning her to leave the Sleepy Snorlax Inn. Astral is also struck by a vision, showing potentially disastrous events that are to come.
Later that day, Vincent Evergreen, the eccentric son of Professor Evergreen, pays the hotel a visit. He immediately takes a liking to the party, finding himself fascinated by everyone's adventures, perhaps to a slightly worrisome degree. He also works with Jasper in an attempt to research what makes the Beast Ball so special. After Luna awakens, Vincent discusses the dangers of Mount Olympia with her, and shares the condition of Thenia as a whole. Life outside of the mountain is no cakewalk either, with towns and cities fighting each other. A gruesome attack has happened in Scherzo, seemingly led by Eddie and Edison. It appears as though people are being brutally sacrificed, presumably to artificially create a Spiritomb. It is unknown whether Jasper's parents were a part of this sacrifice.
Vincent shows the party his father's lab at the hotel, a research spot on the hotel's top floor. Within that room, theories around the Blinding flowed like water. Astronomy nerd dump aside, Necrozma is believed to be eating 1% of the stars out of the night sky. It is also believed that the Necrozma that triggered the Blinding is a mere child. Project Luna is revealed to be Cosmog, a Pokémon(?) seemingly made of stardust. It is possible that Cosmog, once trained up, could help defeat the Necrozma in Thenia, but it would take a long time before Cosmog reached its true potential.
The party now sits at a crossroads, in more ways than one. It is unknown whether the ritual in Scherzo is complete, but with Jasper's home nearby, his loved ones may be in trouble. Distant Allegro sits as a possible redoubt for Eddie and Edison to catch their breath, and perhaps finishing them off would bring something to a close. In addition, Professor Evergreen's lab in Adagio has been blocked off by the townspeople, blaming the Professor for the Blinding. With a new map in their possession and disaster looming around every corner, the sky is no longer the limit for our party.
