History
During the inaugural Pokémon League conference, a Faller ended up at the summit of Mount Olympia, interrupting the final battles of the conference. Shortly after his arrival, a swarm of Nihilego arrived at the location, going on a rampage. Though the horde of Ultra Beasts were defeated, a Necrozma was able to travel to Thenia via the wormhole, subjecting the region to something similar to a localized solar flare. The resulting move ended up knocking out most technology across the region, save for some holdouts who had access to plentiful or powerful Electric-type Pokémon.
In the following five months, nature has reclaimed much of the Thenia region, with Ultra Beast sightings becoming more common over time. The humans that remain have formed tribal societies within former settlements. One such tribe resides within the Sleepy Snorlax Inn, at the base of Mount Olympia.
