Aljabar
Much trade passes through the lush port city of Aljabar on the Corte Dorada of eastern Xabel. Ships from the Imperium Deus, Chulweyné, or even as far away as from Shan Liang sail across the Indun Sea to reach the city. Aljabar is ruled by its queen, Ishraq mansa-Shu'ayb. The majority of its population are humans of a dark pigmentation known as Xabelians, but many different races can be found there.
Aljabar was founded by the Six Masters in 825 HE, bringing together six disparate tribes into one people. Each master became the head of an individual caste: priests, warriors, traders, artisans, laborers, and slaves. Although the positions have ceased to exist, replaced by the feudal system, the castes have remained a part of Xabelian society.
Its full official name in the Xabesh tongue is Mahina al-Jabar Sangokatha Alaha Manamana mithl Masriri ean Melahrha which translates to "City of the Masters, blessed by the Gods, glistening like a jewel by the sea." Over time this long-winded name has been abbreviated to simply "Aljabar."
