Thousand Dunes
The Thousand Dunes are the direct hands and local leaders of the Ficium faith. They carry out the Burgeonend council's as well as the Cadence's will.
Qualifications
Community recommendations, Burgeond hand picks, and those who stand out in a community are all qualified to join the Thousand Dunes with relative ease.
Requirements
Anyone can join the Thousand Dunes but staying in is the hard part. They are to be an example to the people in work and moral so stepping out of line can cast a bad look on the Ficium faith. Generally teenagers of any race who prove to have common sense and good background are allowed to join.
Duties
Priests and Priestesses of the Thousand Dunes function in two separate roles. Priests, or male members, will function as clerics and paladins. Healing, protection, and communication with Ficium are done through them. Priestess, or female members, will function as scholars and mages. They spend their time learning languages, studying spells, and providing a defense against arcane threats, as well as advancing the Hazfen Empire's magical knowledge.
Benefits
Those who join the Thousand Dunes begin the long ladder climb. Equivalent to the guild ladder-climbing seen in the Jewels of Erair, many who start as a foundational one hope to become leaders or even Burgeonend before the end of their life.
