Gehenna
Gehenna was an Outer Plane home to neutral evil and lawful evil beings. It was the plane of suspicion and greed, home to some of the most treacherous and deceitful creatures in The multiverse. Beneficial spells sometimes had no effect when used on this plane.
Gehenna was exiled at the end of The Age of Coalescence, and launched into the Cosmic Soup. The plane and those who lived there are now adrift, in places beyond the reach of even the gods.
Geography
All four layers of Gehenna are infinite planes with gravity at a thirty degree angle to the ground, making travelers feel as if they are on the side of a mountain with no base or peak. Anyone losing their footing could tumble for miles before finding enough purchase on the slope to halt their fall. Nearly all terrain that is at least slightly slippery, making such tumbles a common occurrence among the uninitiated.
The layers are:
- Khalas, which features many steep slopes, streams, and waterfalls. It features portals connecting to Hades and The nine hells
- Chamada, land of lava and brimstone. The air is so foul that visibility is limited and the air is dangerous to breathe for too long
- Mungoth, which has regions that are extremely hot intermixed with some that are extremely cold. The transition between the two is harsh and instantaneous
- Krangath, is a dark, foreboding wasteland. There is almost no light to be found
