Thaiva Spars with Hobbs

Thaiva Phenol, still upset from her conversation with Hinfyire Soriel, heads out into the courtyard to spar with Hobbs.  The two have a real heart to heart as Natsu and Ulmec Soriel watch and mutter insults at each other.

Thaiva confronts Alibor

Thaiva Phenol has a long, intense conversation about their past. Alibor Klaedris was abusive, and caused serious injury to his daughter in one of their confrontations after the death of Zarinn Klaedris. Alibor Klaedris got very upset, even brought to tears, but did not quite bring himself to actually apologize. Thaiva Phenol also tells him that Montia was not responsible for the death of Zarinn Klaedris, but not who actually was.

Natsu does palm reading for Hobbs and Hinfyire

Hobbs:

• Your head line is short. That tells me you're a fast thinker that doesn't dwell on your answers.

Hinfyire Soriel:

• You need your freedom. You show your love through actions more than words.

Natsu then offers to read Hinfyire's future, which she agrees to.  Natsu uses her conduit and then responds:

You'll have your dagger to the throat of a dragonborn with shining blue scales and a pretentious crown. I hope that's where you want to be and not where Lolth does.

This alarms Hinfyire Soriel, who immediately leaves.

The spider incident

The crew regroups on Barry the Airship so Thaiva Phenol can talk about what she learned.  Just as she starts talking, Memento Vitae interrupts, reminding them that Button is still on the ship, and serving as a potential spy.  A search begins, in which Thaiva Phenol casts detect magic and discovers there are actually dozens of spiders on the ship.  Several are killed, but more and more pop up.  Hobbs and Natsu leave in search of an exterminator.  Along the way, Hobbs talks to one of the spiders he had taken with him, convincing it that they would be better off infesting all of the other ships in port instead of theirs.  This seems to work, and so they return to the ship so the spider can convey the message to its companions.  Along the way, one speaks to Natsu in abyssal, calling her a bitch and a traitor.  Once on the ship, the spiders actually do all depart, in a military formation aboard a flying carpet.
