Barry the Airship

Barry the airship is a magical airship created when Pestle cast true polymorph on Barry the Bee in Session 36: Intermission I, Stirring up some Buzz with a new airship. At the time it resembled a chinese "junk" ship, with large wing-like sails.   After Ragnarok, Barry found its way back to Rainy Grove, where Izar took possession of the vessel and used it to found the Admiral's Delight Trading Company.   The ship has seen significant modifications since then.  It was first outfitted for adventure during The Age of Coalescence, including a new coat of paint, additional weaponry, a lifeboat, a new engine, a significantly expanded cargo hold, and a complete rearrangement of the sails. The ship then had eight wing-like sails, arranged along the sides and back of the vessel. Despite the many modifications, though, Izar insisted Barry is still a sentient creature. He frequently told his crew and passengers to be polite to the ship so it does not get grumpy.   After Izar left to become an Archfey, the ship was captained by Thaiva Klaedris.  The crew used it well, but once the age was over the ship and the prototype engine on board was eventually donated to Murdoch for his journey to the moon.  The airship has not been seen again since.  

Safety Rules

  During it's adventuring days, there was a simple list of rules to help everyone stay safe on the vessel:  
  • No Murder!
  • Safety lines are available on the deck to tie yourself off while the ship is in motion. Use them.
  • When walking on deck, take care not to trip on anyone elses safety lines
  • don't be settin the ship on fire
  • Crew are issued a single-use featherfall amulet for protection. If you own one, keep it accessible and on your person at all times
  • No murder!
  • No absorbing other creatures' souls
  • No orgies
  • No spitting in food
  • No eating the first mate
This list can still be seen in the galley, as an homage to what came before.
