Amelia
An aerialist at the Carnival whose stage name is "The Vampire," Amelia is actually one of The Dark Man's children. As a child, she had stunted wings like Julien's, and was sold to a sideshow as a curiosity. Isolde liberated the freaks who were trapped there, and immediately recognized Amelia for what she was. She looked into Amelia's mind fully expecting to see a monster that she would have to kill; instead, she saw a terrified girl. Isolde had no idea whether or not her nemesis had plans for his daughter, but if he did, she had no intention of letting them come to fruition. She took the freaks under her wing, and the Carnival was born. Not long afterwards, Amelia's stunted wings grew, and she was able to fly.
Amelia has turned all of her inner darkness in on herself, and bears the scars of multiple self-injuries and suicide attempts. She had terrible nightmares before joining the Carnival, but they haven't bothered her much since. In part because casual sex is one of her preferred coping mechanisms, she hides her damage behind an overtly sexual persona. She doesn't believe that she has any gifts for mind-reading or divination like Vigo Drakov or Julien, but people who spend time around her often find themselves liking her and desperate for her to like them in return.
Amelia has been extremely flirtatious with Vanya, although that may just be because he's someone new and pretty. Like The Imp, she became frightened when she made mental contact with Julien because he accidentally went too deep. Julien told her that their father wasn't done with her or with any of them.
