Ferrumy (a.k.a. the Great Ironwood Tree)
Ferrumy the Great Ironwood Tree was once just a branch plucked from an Ironwood Tree in the woods of Feywild Autumn by Hansel Silver. Hansel brought this branch to Paul Bunion, who carved it into a sharpshooting Ironwood Bow. This bow was Hansel's weapon of choice for many years. He used the bow as he saved his sister Gretel the Hag Mother, hunted witches, and even stopped Wilmoor the Wise from harnessing the powers of a god. When Hansel was recruited by Baba Yaga to join the Defenders of the Fae he was given his famous Radiant Laser Rifle. After saving the multiverse once again, Hansel gave his Ironwood bow to Headmaster Caledon the Grey as a gift, so that a piece of the Feywild would be in Delbrook. Cal decided to plant the branch in hopes that a tree would grow; what Cal did not predict was that this tree would have wisdom beyond his years.
Ferrumy has grown into a great Ironwood Oak. He has some memories of the Feywild and an innate connection to nature magic. When the first Professor of Druids, Galeine the Brown, passed on to the Dryad afterlife, Ferrumy was appointed to the role.
Ferrumy can be found teaching his classes in the courtyard of the Delbrook Adventuring Academy.
