Session 1 Recap - "This is a Power Play"

The year is 1835 DR, almost 350 years after the events on the Azure Sea. Realmspace has changed significantly over the centuries with Spelljamming, bringing in a golden age of enlightenment. This has allowed the Forgotten Realms, no longer so forgotten, to prosper into a beacon of hope. Those on Toril live in relative peace and prosperity but not all are so lucky to live there. Danger lurks behind every corner with new unfortunate discoveries happening every day. Because of this, the Spelljammer Corp was created to explore these new worlds and keep peace within Realmspace. This brings us to the story of Bellamy, Chk~Chk, Luna, and T'larn.
Orientation
Our adventure starts with our four heroes braving the simulations deck, reliving Captain Sardax's horrors at the battle of H'Catha. The four defeated the many waves of Astral Reavers, despite the fact that many officers were killed in real life. As the simulation ended, they were thrown into the exciting life of being a cadet. They learned how to survive and maneuver the many dangers of Wildspace and even made a few friends along the way.
Intruder Alert!
Solana Nightguard was the first to provoke our heroes while attempting to steal the best bunk away from T'larn. With some quick wit and the use of an unsuspecting officer, Solana backed down which had a ripple effect of altercations to come. After working their way through the tasks at hand they were given one final quest; to deliver a box to the leader of the Spelljammer Corp Mirt the Merciless. Unfortunately, this box was full of Neogi hatchlings that attacked with a ferocity that was clearly meant for Mirt.
Preflight Meal
The next day, they met Meekin Haverstance a fellow cadet who felt inadequate and unsure of his ability to command a ship. They also met Petty Officer Winston Ryeback who prepared a delicious meal of food for the hungry cadets. They later found out from Meekin that Winston had been robbed of a custom pistol just that morning which had been just another in a long string of thefts going on within the past month. While this conversation was going on a much different event was unfolding as Luna and T'larn performed a "Power Play" with Solana which succeeded with her being ejected from the dining hall.
Sabotage!
After a day of training in the simulation deck our heroes exited only to find a tragedy had struck the academy. The panels of the simulation decks had been tampered with which caused massive explosions resulting in multiple deaths. After a quick investigation, our cadets could tell that this was an inside job the person even going as far as to bar the door. Saerthe and Tarto recognized the sigil carved into the panels saying "Vocath. I should have suspected. It appears that the Arcane’s grudge against Mirt has become a vendetta.".
Like Clockwork
After recovering from the horrors of the simulation deck's sabotage the four cadets were given a new quest to recover an adamantine meteor from the planet H'Catha. The plan was to take an empty Tyrant ship and slip into H'cathan airspace without alerting any of the many beholders that live on the surface. While investigating a strange sound on the Hallow Deck our heroes found strange metal insectile automatons called Clockwork Horrors. They attacked the party with rotating saws and a hardened exoskeleton only to find the group at the command deck doing even worse as thick heavy smoke poured into the Hallow Deck.   What will our heroes find as the smoke clears from the not-so-empty Tyrant ship? Will they be able to track down the Sabotur before more innocent people are killed? Who is Vocath and what are their motives for all this destruction? Find out this Sunday.
