Relationship Reasoning
Neia and Aien are a bonded pair, and with no equals in power and strength other than one another. Their entire relationship is founded not on mutual respect, but by draconic cultural norms, they cannot take on mates drastically weaker than themselves. Due to the only dragons meeting this criteria being one another or hated enemies, it is a relationship of convenience. Aien has fathered hundreds of Neia's children for the sake of continuing her bloodline and having heirs, although he considers almost none of them to be his children, favoring those with other mates and declaring them to be true solar dragons.
History
When the dragons rose, Lorenzo was unfortunate enough to be one of those quickly captured and broken into submission by Neia. Perhaps even more unlucky, he was one of many that became the first known omnia and unlike human counterparts, was not spared a quick death and was instead forced to serve her will or be tortured for disobeying. With the help of one of Neia's daughters, Rikta, Lorenzo was able to smuggle in the components to build a bomb and use it to escape from Neia, the left overs being used to bait her into a trap and greatly wound the great dragon, temporarily blinding her. This act caused many lunar dragons' faith and trust in Neia to be shaken, as no mortal had ever been known to wound her before, and is seen as a great failure by her.
Relationship Reasoning
She has a famous dislike of the dragon due to her cruelty and treatment of mortals. A feeling that has been strengthened due to her and Aien Sol De Draco starting the War of the Moon and declaring war against most of the gods. From Morien’s perspective the dragons usurping the gods by force could interfere with the plan of the supposed Great God. Something that is in her eyes reinforced by most other gods joining the fight against the dragons. Her feelings have become more personal ever since Neia Lun De Draco and Aien Sol De Draco teamed up in order to destroy her temple, the ship Prydwen. The dragon has an immense dislike of the Cult of Dogs and their god due to encouraging a constant resistance towards their dragonflights and being some of the more effective combatants when it comes to fighting off dragon attacks. Worship of dragons that aren’t currently gods is considered blasphemy by Morien and her cult.
Relationship Reasoning
Umbra has a distaste for the dragon and her respective dragonflight. This is mostly because of her plan to claim dominion over the moon. A celestial body of light that Umbra greatly dislikes, and it dislikes most gods associated with it already. Ironically though, Umbra is a god that has a slight association with the new moon, painting a target on its back. If it was up to Umbra the moon’s light would have already been devoured by the darkness between the stars, and one day it inevitably will be anyway. While Umbra does appreciate mortals having a “healthy” fear of the night it does not care for them fearing the power of the moon’s light. This only adds to the many reasons Umbra has to fight against Neia Lun de Draco and her followers. During the War of the Moon there has been a noticeable increase in mortals turning to Umbra as they hope that its domain of night, darkness, and the unknown will help them fight back against the lunar dragonflight and their respective lunar magic. As well as obscure them in the safety of the night’s darkness in order to avoid attacks. Interestingly, there are records of Umbra having worked with Neia Lun De Draco on at least a couple of occasions in the past. But this appears to solely be out of some mutual benefit. Ever since the war started Umbra has taken a great glee out of making “examples” out of Neia Lun De Draco’s followers whenever possible. To remind them that “The moon you so desperately cling to is no source of power, for even its light must dim and it will be swallowed by darkness.”
