Leonaith Adhana
Crowned Commandant Leonaith Adhana- Leoxidor
Leonaith came from a lowly noble house, and over time, rose to the rank Crowned Commandant of Centuron.
Born to the Lord and Lady of the small town of Mythward, Leonaith was told many stories of the Kingdom. As a young child, he admired the story of Ahtan, the Worthy. Aspiring to bring good into the world, and swearing that if ever called upon they too will fight to save the world. As soon as he could raise a sword, Leonaith began training to follow the footsteps of the worthy.
Follow the worthy he did. Growing up a noble of a smaller town gave Adhana a better understanding and connection to commoners than that of other nobles. He aided and assisted the residents of Mythward without thoughts of compensation, and often refused any offers money or treasure. Instead giving words of kindness and motivation to further help their friends and neighbors. Overtime Leonaith became a celebrity within Mythward, revered by many but respected by all.
Messages of a regal parade made their way to Mythward. Telling how the current King of Centuron desired his son, the Prince, learn and see more of the kingdom first hand. Mythward was too small a town for the parade to pass through. However the tour was stopping in a neighboring town called Wolfwater. While Leonaith had little desire for attending the parade, his parents and residents of Mythward urged him to visit and represent their town. It took some convincing, but Adhana made the trek to Wolfwater in time for the festivities.
However, Adhana was not prepared for what he would witness. Strolling through the town, he came upon a group surrounding a well dressed individual. He saw the group make moves to weapons and ill-intentions. Seeing would-be assailants, Leonaith sprung into action defending the individual. He fought off the assassins and found the individual he saved to be Prince Mark, the son of the King. Prince Mark requested Adhana stay by his side for the rest of the tour, to which Leonaith could to do little to refuse. Eventually being annointed as a Crown Guard by the Prince.
He followed the Prince for many years. Protecting and enforcing his decisions. To which the Prince grew to hold Leonaith in high esteem. Often looking to Adhana for counsel and advice on matters of state. Over the years, Leonaith became more and more involved with political matters between the crown and lords throughout the kingdom. Only to bear witness to near unending greed on all sides. The high society of the kingdom deaf to all but their own. In spite of this, Leonaith was able to convince the crown to hold open forums where commoners could voice their concerns.
The open forums began bridging the gap between commoners and the high society. The crown was able to learn of the more pressing issues residents were facing and provide plans to begin rectifying them. However, during one open forum, King Eldwin of Centuron was on stage detailing a plan of action that was designed to improve connections between the towns of greater Centuron and the capital. During this speech, a riot broke out in the crowd and individuals reached the King. Adhana witnessed King Eldwin's body collapse on stage and rushed to evacuate him back to the castle.
Adhana brought the King's body to the healers of Mount Arcanus as quickly as he could. Unfortunately there was nothing the healers could do. The King had already passed. Prince Mark rushed into the chamber hoping for good news about his father but too collapsed to his knees once he witnessed the interior. Adhana lifted Mark to his feet, placing the old king's crown on his head and naming him King Mark of Centuron. To which King Mark raised Leonaith to the rank of Crowned Commandant, giving him command over the army of Centuron.
Crowned Commandant Adhana and King Mark stood side by side for many years. Attempting to rectify the turmoil that was caused by the former king's assassination. Organizations grew throughout Centuron during this time. All with their own motives that almost always opposed the crown. Adhana fought tirelessly to reunite the lands and towns of Centuron, but despite his efforts King Mark's motivations became weaker and weaker. After Eldwin's assassination, King Mark barely left the castle in Solcity.
King Mark attempted to lead the kingdom from meetings within the castle. Blind to all that was going on outside. All the while, Crowned Commandant Adhana maintained his role with the public. Continuing to hold open forums with commoners and residents to understand the conflicts and ordeals of the general populace. Here Adhana learned much about the greed and injustices that were being perpetuated by lords and other members of high society.
Leonaith raised these concerns to Mark. Detailing and attempting to show King Mark how bad things had gotten for the general populace. To much surpise, King Mark responded looking for reasons as to why he should even care about the commoners. King Mark explained to Crowned Commandant Adhana the fear he had been living under; that at any point someone could jump out of the shadows and end him. Retelling the close call during the crowned tour those many years ago.
Leonaith argued with King Mark, revealing he had no idea who Mark was or that they were more than a commoner when he stepped in to fight off the assassins during that parade. Detailing how they had worked together for many years improving the lives of many commoners. But all Leonaith said fell on the deaf ears of a timid king. Eventually Leonaith gave Mark an ultimatum: Give him complete decision making authority for the kingdom, or Leonaith would return to Mythward leaving King Mark to face the terrors without his main line of defense.
Which King Mark could hardly refuse. King Mark called a meeting of the Advisory Council and Court of Overseers. There he provided a crowned helmet to Leonaith Adhana, and decreed that Crowned Commandant Adhana hereby be treated as if he were King while in the absense of King Mark. Concerns and discussions broke out during the meeting, but were quelled by Adhana's strong will and notable renown. The Advisory Council and Court of Overseers began to recognize Crowned Commandant Adhana's authority, and King Mark sequestered himself in his chambers. Only opening his doors to Leonaith.
With the newly established authority, Adhana began enacting more policies to further remedy the issues he was witnessing. These policies ranged from small changes affecting minimal groups, to large overhauls of processes like food distribution and education. Unsurprisingly, Adhana faced major pushback to his desired changes. Many members of high society not seeing the need for such programs and attempting to maintain their various hordes. Through force of will and unending motivation, Adhana overcame hurdle after hurdle. Enacting multiple plans and generally improving the quality of life for those outside of the high society. Still though, after surpassing each barricade more continued to reveal themselves.
Leonaith began to feel mostly satisfied with the work he was doing within Solcity. However greater Centuron still left much to be desired. Adhana ventured out to the numerous towns in the greater lands. Requesting to meet with the ruling lords, forcing a meeting if necessary. At these various meetings, Adhana attempted to communicate with the respective lords to find a mutual agreement that could be met. Much to his dismay, nearly every lord refused any attempt at collaboration.
Adhana's excursion proved to be unsuccessful. Upon returning to Solcity, Leonaith advised his company to continue on to the castle while he stayed for a moment at Ahtan's memorial. There he pondered on his plans for improvement. Feeling almost as if he was destined to fail due to the uncompromising individuals he was forced to work with. Leonaith was still hopeful, however. Hopeful in that word of the improvements he made within Solcity would travel throughout the residents of Centuron, and lead to more individuals desiring similar goals.
Adhana took notice of other residents who had started gathering around the memorial. They told Adhana how relieved they were that he had returned, because many of the policies he had enacted had been reversed in his time away. Leonaith was disappointed and enraged to learn of this. He told the residents that he would work towards rectifying this, but that he must return to the castle to do so.
Upon returning Adhana called a meeting with the Advisory Council, looking for insight as to what exactly happened during his excursion but to primarily remind them of his authority within the kingdom. During this meeting, the advisors attempted to convince Adhana that the members of high society were their primary responsibility and that they must maintain their quality of life in order to maintain the kingdom. Adhana attempted to convince the council that the commoners were just as important, if not moreso seeing as they vastly outnumbered the high society. The council didn't buy this however, claiming that the commoners had little to nothing they could use to overpower the high society. Describing them as nothing more than fodder for jobs the high society needed complete.
Leonaith finally understood the futility of his current course of action. Realizing that despite his determination and respect from those around him, he likely would never be able to make the improvements through righteous acts. Deciding that to reach a better world, he may have to be considered its ruin. If he were not to be this world's savior, he would create an environment that would develop one.
To the surprise of the council, Adhana began to be more agreeable and accommodating to policies directly in favor of the high society. Even more shocking was that Adhana was even advocating for policies directly detrimental towards commoners. A fact that the Advisory Council relished and didn't question. Blinded by greed, the council kept generating harsher and harsher policies directed towards commoners. Policies Crowned Commandant Adhana continued to approve. High society was thriving more than ever, all the while commoners were being subjected to worsening conditions.
Leonaith continued to hold the open forums where commoners could voice concerns. However these forums became much more regulated with an increasing presence of military personnel. Publicly Adhana spoke of the decisions of the crown, confirming the commoners' fears that he was approving these new laws and causing the worsening conditions. As expected, the public grew angry with the crown and high society. Adhana fueled this anger during his forums. While secretly planning and providing support for individuals he saw potential in. Potential to overcome these hardships and rejuvinate the kingdom into the prosperous land he knew it could be.
