Skadi
(a.k.a. Goddess of Mountains, Snowshoe Goddess)
Skadi is a female Giant, daughter of the Giant Thiazi, who built the walls of Asgard and had stolen the apples of immortality from Asgard until he was tricked by Loki and slain by Thor.
Skadi appeared in Asgard to demand vengeance for her father's murder, but Odin placated her with offerings of recompense and marriage to any of the Gods, save that she must choose only seeing their feet. Skadi choose the clenaest feet, thinking to get Baldr, the handsomest of the gods, nut instead married Njord, whose feet are washed clean by the ocean tides.
Since that time she has divorced Njord, for she enjoyed the glories of Asgard and found his homes near the shores of Midgard to be too damp and unpleasant. She has since married Uller.
She is a Goddess of Mountains, the Cold, remote places, Bowhunting and Skiing. She appears as a Frost Giant, though she may resize herself to human proportions, thoughs he rarely disguises her blueish skin.
