A young female mage from Vetrakus. She is probably human. Despite her relative inexperience, something has caused Ios's magic to be massively empowered; in her hands, even a light spell can do radiant damage. When she tried to use a spell to find a familiar, she got Keel, a very experienced fighter and national champion. She is the reason why Keel, who is (or was) illiterate, is currently attending a mage school.

Personal history

While the Shadows of Existence (including Keel) were adventuring on Cubit, an ominous individual visited Ios’s school, and the headmaster teleported Ios to join Keel for safety. She found herself alone in Dust's Library, a spooky library inhabited by a fear demon. She just managed to drive off the stalking demon with an overpowered light spell before being found and retrieved by Knight, who had grudgingly followed the unfamiliar scream.
Ios worked with the party throughout the Cubit adventure. When the party returned to New Hallownest, they were ambushed by a hit squad and then a demon lord who had been sent by an evil mage on Vetrakus to kidnap Ios and kill her companions. As of late August, 23 ARL, she was taking shelter in Sith’s home in Limbo.

Education

Ios is still in training as a mage in a magic academy in Vetrakus.

History

When Ios attempted to find herself a familiar, something odd happened; rather than getting a magical animal, she summoned a human warrior named Keel. He took this surprisingly well, and they've since developed a strong friendship.
