MINAUROS
The third layer, Minauros, is a vast stench clouded bog. The dreary landscape is a vista of brown scummed stagnant water broken by occasional piles of putrid froth. Acid rain falls almost constantly from the foul brown sky. A few towering stone block cities rise hundreds of feet up out of the bog, their ornately carved stone blocks slimed and begrimed by the acid rain.
Geography
Minauros is a vast tree-less swamp. Low mounds of strange fungi occasionaly break the surface of the water. The brown-scummed water conceals deep pits and worse lurking below the surface.
Ecosystem
Brown algae and various fungi exist in the swamp. Rarely a dark fin will stir the brown water.
Climate
When the acid rain fall the temperature drops to 100°, when the rain stops the temperature can climb as high as 130° causing a noxious mist to rise from the brown water.
Natural Resources
Gold. Buried in the muck below the brown water, sometimes only inches deep are nuggets of pure gold. These nuggets are small flakes to thumb-sized pieces of gold.
