Nara
Nara is the Eshti term for those exani attracted to the negative thoughts and actions of beings in local reality. Most fade back into the Unreal soon after they come into being, but others, summoned by truly evil deeds and passions are powerful enough to persist in the world. Their profane existence in turn attracts other nara, and the powerful mahanaras who consume most of these lesser naras and enslave the rest, increasing the size and power of their demense.
Those enslaved naras becomes servants and emissaries of the mahanaras. They may only enter the mortal realm by being summoned there by a mortal being, usually by sorcerers, demonologists or priests of destructive powers of the outside who creates a portal for the nara through blood sacrifice. The more powerful naras require larger sacrifices to create large enough portals and also mortals powerful enough to control them. Occasionally a novice will attempt to summon such a creature and the nara will escape to consume the unfortunate fool and seek out other prey while it is free.
The term 'nara', like 'mahajara' is often used pejoratively by the Eshtem religious orthodoxy towards beings worshipped by other groups, such as the Teteo of the Calmaxtec, especially those that they see as dangerous or threaten their authority and power.
