Saltbridge

Saltbridge is a massive structure spanning the narrow sea passage that connects Redstone Bay to Lionpath Sound in the south-east. The bridge measures an impressive 6 miles long, 1 mile wide, and towers 100 feet tall over the sea. Made of jet black stone, which is not found anywhere else on the continent, Saltbridge is a wonder of architecture and engineering, with its seeming resistance to natural forces making it almost impossible to determine when it was constructed. The structure has apparently stood since the dawn of time and is featured prominently in even the most ancient myths and legends from all of the bay's predominate races: Dwarfs, Elves and Humans.
For the past 500 years, humans have controlled the bridge since they first began colonizing Redstone Bay. The bridge has become an essential crossing point for all wishing to pass through the region, attracting merchants, food vendors, entertainers and criminals alike, many of whom have settled on the bridge itself, creating a bustling metropolitan centre. Visitors to the bridge can expect to encounter all manner of sights, sounds, and smells, from the haggling of merchants to the tantalizing aromas of street food. The bridge is also home to a diverse population, with humans, elves, dwarves, and even some exotic races all living and working together in relative piece. However, despite its reputation as a safe and convenient crossing point, the bridge is not without its dangers, and visitors should be wary of pickpockets, cutthroats, and other unsavory characters who lurk in the shadows.
