True Students of Oculus

This particular subset of academics claim to be the true disciples of Oculus Infinitus. Their research and findings are continually hidden away, supposed being stored in the Grand Library of Fortosia. Conveniently, because of their alleged affiliation with Oculus, they have never needed to publish a finding or prove any of their research true. They surely don't claim to be the chosen of Oculus because it allows them to tap into church funding without having to actually provide any research, notes, or other proven works.

They're a bunch of stuffy scribes that washed out of real research guilds and hide away in Fortosia claiming to be Oculus' best buddies.

If you've made it this far, you're also probably not one of those students, because I'm not even sure if they know how to read. Rumor says that one day a book fell in front of a demented sailor claiming to be a wizard, and the high clergy of the watchers had been struck by lightning just hours before crossing paths with said sailor. Structure

Within the True Students of Oculus, they follow a loose ranking structure. To achieve higher ranks, a member must submit research and findings to their superiors to be store in the Grand Library.

Rankings

1. Grandmaster - Leader of the Organization - Makes decisions for the organization as a whole, and communicates directly with Oculus.
2. Master - Council Member to the Grandmaster - Makes decisions for the organization with a council vote.
3. Professor - Superior Individual Officer - Directs and orders groups on the country level.
4. Scholar - Regular Individual Officer - Directs and orders groups on a city level.
5. Student - Standard Role - Performs research and responds to officer orders.
6. Initiate - Introductory Role - Performs manual labor and other menial tasks to support the students and scholars.

Culture

Not much is really known about the inner workings of the organization, as the upper ranks tend to be very restrictive with sharing information.

Public Agenda

The True Students of Oculus regularly state that their primary motivation for functioning as an organization is to gather information and provide it to Oculus much like the Church of the Watchers does. They state that their study and research approach is much more in tune with Oculus' primary motivations.
Oculus has not commented on the "True Students of Oculus" publicly.
