E.S.o.R.M. is a self declared nation on the Environmental Space of Resource Management, an artificial island built to be a landfill.
Structure
E.S.o.R.M. is an anarchist commune nation wherein all citizens work for the good of everyone. Given E.S.o.R.M.s low population, it's easy for all members of the community to have the opportunity to be equally involved in politics and the running of the nation.
When it comes to diplomatic activities where a leader would typically be required to be present the citizens of E.S.o.R.M. vote on a member of the community to act as representative of the nation.
Culture
E.S.o.R.M. is in an unusual position in comparison to other nations of the world. Because E.S.o.R.M. is a fully man made structure, there is incredibly limited fauna; food in E.S.o.R.M. tends to be almost entirely fish based. Fishers are incredibly valuable to the community for this reason. Due to the lack of natural earth for planting, agriculture is also restricted. Planting is done in small compost plots, but the size of such plots are far from enough to allow for a sufficient amount of food to be grown to sustain the citizens of E.S.o.R.M. Almost all of the produce that E.S.o.R.M. has access to are imported from Balamelle or private companies. Provided these conditions, Landfillers primarily live off of scavenging the trash on the island.

Naturally, there is an abundance of plastic, glass, metal, and other trash that can be scavenged and repurposed.
History
The Environmental Space of Resource Management was iitially built in 2715 as a joint effort between Riza and Le Veaux to create a landfill that won't negatively impact the natural landmass it's built upon. In 2837 the workers who lived on the island (as well as people who escaped to the island for one reason or another) attempted to declare the island an independent nation by the name of E.S.o.R.M.. Despite this, only a few nations such as Bayir, Ha Lang, and Balamelle recognize it as a country. Riza and Le Veaux are attempting to clear out the island and reclaim it.
Demography and Population
E.S.o.R.M. is an incredibly small nation, with a population of 3,612 people. Nearly all of the people in E.S.o.R.M. live in The Heap, with only a few stragglers (less than 100) outside of the city.

There are small farms on E.S.o.R.M. made through composting food waste that made its way to the island. The island is very limited in what it can produce, however, due to the lack of natural ground and soil.
