Goblins in Space

Spaceborn Goblins share a history of near genocide with the Orcs and Kobolds. Over 400 years ago tribes of Goblinoids piloted their dangerous and unpredictable Porcupine ships and would raid any inhabited ship or rock they came across. Nor was it unheard of for them to make landfall and attack terrestrial settlements looking for supplies or slaves. Then came the Unhuman Wars, where the Elven Armada spent over a century exterminating the goblin fleets along with the fleets of the Orcs, Kobolds, and any other "less civilized" humanoid or giant ancestries. This annihilation broke whatever passed for organization in goblin society.

Now days Goblins do well in the more accepting human dominated settlements, where they vie for the same ecological niche Gnomes enjoy as tinkerers and mad inventors. Outside of these enclaves though many of the other ancestries still harbor a grudge due to the historic aggression, a sentiment that the goblins hold as well towards the Elves.
