Attack on Dapplewing Manor Linked to the Oriq
What a time, it has been!
Much has happened over the last year - enough for many to question whether Strixhaven is indeed the safe… well, haven, that it is made out to be… As we near the end of the school year, we cannot help but reflect upon the startling events that have transpired across our beloved campus.
Krokt Tower was attacked by a Trunk with Teeth. Chaos ensued In The Kitchen of the Bow’s End. A missing Dean was rescued by a fiery squad of Campus Daredevils. A stampede of Owlbears broke through Silverquill, interrupting play rehearsal & reminding us that All The World is NOT actually A Stage… And, most importantly, after months of denial & conspiracy theories, this writer was officially granted permission to report that every single one of these events was linked to the Organized Rebels In Question that have plagued Arcavios for centuries… The occult faction known as the Oriq have resurfaced - this time, they are led by a mysterious bloodmage who calls himself Captain Murgaxor Grenshel.
Our troubles, however, did not end there! Last week, the group of campus heroes known as the F Squad - notorious for apprehending the culprit at the 700th Burninghammer Gala - managed to foil the Oriq’s evil schemes yet again. This time, these schemes came in the form of an assassination attempt… Our very own, Captain Dinora Dapplewing, survived without a scratch thanks to the F Squad. And, upon unmasking the culprit, we were shocked to see that it was none other than Dean Kianne of Quandrix…
“If I’d known wha’ she wuz gonna use it for, I never woulda given ‘er me mate’s manifesto…”“She wuz always quite strict with us,” said third-year witness Louie Arneza. “She confiscated the recipe for our mate Gary Grigg’s explosive paste. But we never thought she’d do sum’n like this with it!” Dean Kianne was apprehended shortly after the explosion and is currently being held at the Dragonsguard base, waiting to be transported to Rundlestrom Prison for her misdeeds. A new Dean of Substance will be appointed over the summer (Further details soon to come).
