Genasi
The Genasi origins are both detailed and yet vague at the same time. We know they are the combination of humanoids plus the touch of the Elemental Planes but how that touch is sourced varies.
We know that many ancestors of the Genasi come from unions between genies and mortals which is theorized to be what brought about a lot of the Genasi population but it does not account for there being enough of a stable population for them to have an empire before the Wishful Wars (if they even happened).
It is also known that massive surges of elemental power can impact the mortals around that area, and that their offspring are genasi but records of surges do not date back that far.
What is known was that the empire of Akanul was formed with its capital of Darstall made on the coast leading historians to believe water Genasi were dominant in the early days but no surviving records reflect that theory.
The Genasi was a strong and proud nation before the Wishful Wars(BWW) and proud of their heritage, but then the Wishful Wars happened.
Details aren't known about the wars as they never happened in its aftermath, but the scars upon Rondo and the drift of the stars mark that they did occur.
But the fact remains that (AWW) many nations rightfully blamed the Genie (or Djinn sources vary) and in their absence as they were all banished from Rondo the people's wrath fell upon the Genasi.
Everyone declared war upon them, not literally but that is what it felt like to them, they won those wars, and the next and the next defeating all those around them, which tangentially helped form the Trivin Empire we know today from the minor countries they were before.
The empire of Akanul grew tired of the wars and knew they could not win them all as their losses kept mounting.
Thus after talks to the then forming Trivin Empire, they joined as full citizens not as a slave race as they feared their only other outcome to be.
Now the Genasi Race are full members of the Trivin Empire and contribute some of the best soldiers in the Grand Trivin Army where they serve faithfully and with great distinction. In all combat zones of Trivin, you will find at least one Genasi killing the Enemies of the Empire serving faithfully.
