The Hoary Wars
So far there have been eight hoary wars between the Hoary Wastes and the rest of Ruslavia, but everyone knows it's only a matter of time before a ninth one is declared.
The First Hoary War
600-700 [The age of the ancients]: This hundred-year-war of legend took place between the "bear" and the "necromancer".The Second Hoary War
895-914 [The age of long ago]: Severely weakened the Druzhina of Dvoryanin Michael Romanov II, leaving Ketterzan vulnerable to the invading forces of Ta-Tzar Vadim Bashirov the Conqueror, from the Cherti Mountains.The Third Hoary War
1066-1098 [The age of our grandmothers]: Ta-Tzar Vadim Bashirov the Conqueror pushed through Ketterzan into the Hoary Wastes, taking more of the wastelands than has belonged to Ketterzan before or since. His son's Druzhina was eventually pushed out, but not before a cathedral to the Church of the White God was established in the wastes.The Fourth Hoary War
1146-1153 [The age or our grandmothers]: When the boy Ta-Tzar, Kiril Bashirov came to power, the Colden Horde seized the chance to try to take advantage of the inexperience of Ketterzan's new ruler. Led to the founding of the Ketterzan Army, due to the boy Ta-Tzar being too sickly to lead a Druzhina himself as previous rulers had done.The Fifth Hoary War
1291-1298 [The age of now]: The first time the Ketterzan and Mosscovian armies were official allies in a Hoary conflict, the Fifth Hoary War is best known for bringing some Orcs from the Hoary Wastes into Mossvocia to fight for the Moss Covian side.The Sixth Hoary War

1445-1450 [The age of now]: The most recent hoary war only lasted five years, and is the war that Vasilly the Woodcutter was conscripted into.
