Dale has been coming to Concussive Curatives since his gladiatorial days. Although he is unpleasant, gruff, and kind of an asshole, so is Madame Whiskerthrob. The two rub each other wrong just the right way that their friction is difficult to discern from friendship. This friendship does not extend beyond a bar tab of 10gp or more.

Madame Whiskerthrob knows what it is like to be on the out and outs, so she’s got some leniency for Friar Hank even though open worship of Lophiiformes is generally frowned upon. He’s a good ear to listen and a good shoulder to lean on. She wouldn’t rid of him. Though if he could leave fewer pamphlets around that would be ideal.
History
Klaus and Whiskerthrob were pirates together in a life before. While she lost a leg, he lost an arm. But crab runs through Klaus' blood. Quite literally, this is when he wrestled a giant fiddler crab and took his arm for his own. Since then he's always been at Whiskerthrob's side as crabmonger.
