She knows how silly it is that her name is Miranda O’Miranda. As the protege of Maester Mopo she has been burdened with a name given twice. He claims it to be encouragement for her to one day marry, so her name might change and she can sound just a little bit less ridiculous.
Miranda is an unassuming woman, generally quiet and reserved. An immaculate harpist. Her lullabies are so soothing that few people know how they end.

Milly provides transportation on behalf of the O’Miranda family. Miranda is the most rebellious of her passengers and Milly has been asked to keep an eye on her when traveling. More trouble than Milly is interested in getting into.

No one outside of the family knows where Miranda came from. Mopo has taken her under his wing, perhaps because he likes her harp music or her rebellious spirit.

Miranda’s harp music melts Gonzalo’s heart. Although Gonzalo dislikes the possibility that the House of the Golden Eyes could one day fall under Miranda’s leadership even though she is not related by blood and only compassion.
