Rolled up note contained the typewritten message:

VSF FBCI NFWIQG WQIFWIFZ

There was circular tag attached to the key labled with an "X"
There is also a small slip of paper with writing on it wrapped around the stem of the key. Using the date cipher (Vigenère Cipher) the message reads: USE EACH METHOD TOGETHER
The round tag of the key could be used to 'mark the spot' in order to find the sent item referred to in the Classified Message. Ghost ink marked an "X" on the last page on the inside of the back of the book. The circular tag was the right size to place over the strange feeling depression to cut free the token Jackson Elias included with the book.
