Cade Underbough

Cade Underbough is the head of the Shadowtrodden, a group of thieves, smugglers and information brokers. Cade allied with the Widowmaker after she exiled the other crime lords of Riverside from the realm of the living, including Cade's own predecessor. The Shadowtrodden were essential to the Widowmaker's control over the city's criminal underworld, relying on Cade and his network to get goods, both legal and otherwise, in and out of the city.
He was trusted enough to deliver the Thought Bomb to Donluk's public execution and given the command phrase to detonate without being affected himself. However, the Party intervened, saving Donluk and limiting the effects of the Thought Bomb from spreading. Cade attempted to escape but was apprehended by the Party and interrogated for information on the Widowmaker and her plans. Knowing that the Widowmaker would kill him anyway for failing with the Thought Bomb and allowing it to fall into the hands of the Party, Cade didn't take long to turn on her and tell the Party what they wanted to know.
Not only did he tell them how to access the Widowmaker's lair without dealing with her army of thugs, they also forced him to accompany them on their final mission to stop the Widowmaker. Left weaponless, Cade was quite content to sit on the sidelines whilst under the watchful eye of Francis, and watch as the Party battled the Widowmaker's various guards.

Following her death, Cade made it clear he intended on taking advantage of the power vacuum left by the Widowmaker, though seemed to bear no ill intent against the Party.
