Divine Empress

According to Yvalian scripture , there is and has only ever been one empress in the near three millennia of the Empire's existence. Said to be gifted with immortality and beauty by Lyndranel herself (or according to Himsean teachings dark rituals) the empress leads her people as both political and religious leader. She is supported in this endeavor by her cadre of Moonpriestesses that exercise her will in each of the holdings of the empire.

History

Documentary evidence of the empress's role prior to the Exile of the Dark Elves at least outside of Yval. Prior to becoming the empress, its is assumed she was a political or religious figure of some power and a contemporary or rival of Himse the Prophet.
