Canis

One of the gods, housed within the yellow shard found in the swamps of the Collga. Was found paired with her brother Orbin within a beast of the swamps. She is the sister of Sov, Lirik, Elwin, Orbin, and Dromast. Canis, like her siblings, is dual-aspected and embodies Knowledge and Loss. She is worshipped primarily by Radiant Savants who specialize in spellcraft and study at the Arcaniam, the primary center of spellcraft and arcane study founded by Toland early in the days of Luthal's founding. She is commonly depicted by a flame contained by a simplified Sigil of Radiance, implying control over magics. Specific schools of magics have their own stylized versions of this mark, however they all are contained within the Sigil as a reminder of the power. In the myths of the First Radiants, she is closely tied with Toland, the original First Radiant Weaver, a title that is now given to the head of the Arcaniam. While the exact decision process is unknown to the general public on who becomes the First Radiant Weaver, many whisper that appointment is made by a personal visit by Canis. Nobody from the Arcaniam has stepped forward to confirm or deny this rumor. Like all the child gods, she has never officially been seen, but the words of the First Radiants passed through generations and occasional blessings have affirmed the people's belief in her presence.
