The soldiers left disbanded at the end of the Great Crusade flee away from Imperial control and will end up founding autonomous kingdoms or mixing with the native populations. Creatures resulting from imperial biological modifications, which do not have their own territory to return to, are often hosted in other territories or repopulate areas and cities destroyed by the Empire in previous centuries.
