Grand Duchy of Vizad
Structure
The Grand Duchy is still formally under the control of the Phan Empire, but in the last 50 years none has come from the Empire, nor the Archduke was called to the the Imperial Capital.
Culture
The culture of Vizad is very different from the rest of Neamara (Neamaran Theocracy ), here all the terrible control of the Church of Melethis is absent, or little heard. The Cleric of all Valenor Pantheon are free of proselitizing and have their own temples, Wizard and other spellcaters are only kept under control and books about magic are buy and sold.
In the past years, followers of the Neamaran Melethian Church have tried to expand their influence on Vizad, they armed group of fanatics trying to topple the control of the Grand Duchy. One fanatic assassin even killed the Archduke Velenn, father of the Actual Archduke Gunther.
The people of Vizad take weapons against these fanatics and, lead by the young Gunther, ended the revolt in a bloodbath. All the fanatics found were slaughtered, no mercy given or expected.
Public Agenda
Assets
The main ship of the flying fleet of the Archduke, the Excelsior, is a Phan Battleship recovered and reapired. Lot of strange and powerful weapons were recovered and put to use througout the Grand Duchy.
Foreign Relations
Trade alliance with the Reign of Sobral . Actually the Sobral ambassador is petitioning the Archduke to allow the Merchant Guild ship to enter Vizad to access the markets of the cities of the Grand Duchy. The Archduke Gunther of Vizad is resisting the proposal, fearing a military invasion.
